Members of St. John’s commit to:
- Attending church regularly
- Financially supporting the church, at a level appropriate for them
- Regularly participating in at least one ministry or church activity outside of worship
- Participating in spiritual growth opportunities such as Christian education, either at St. John’s or on their own
- Participating in service projects or outreach projects, either at St. John’s or on their own
- Demonstrating compassionate acceptance of others.
There are two ways to become a member:
- Being baptized, confirmed, or received into the Episcopal Church at St. John’s or
- Transferring membership to St. John’s from another congregation.
In either case, the first step is a conversation with one of our priests, Gia or David. They will buy you coffee or ice cream, reflect on God’s activity in your life with you, and recommend a path to membership for your specific circumstances.
